The 2016 International League season was the 130th season in the league's history. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders rode to the title behind talented prospects Gary Sánchez and Aaron Judge and league MVP Ben Gamel. The league had plenty of hot young talent - Ozzie Albies, Josh Bell and Trea Turner all would soon make impacts in the majors.
