2000 European Cup
The 2000 European Cup was played in San Marino. Dutch club DOOR Neptunus won the European Cup for the third time as they beat Semenzato Rimini in the final. In the finale, Rob Cordemans fanned 11 in a complete game win, not giving up a run till the 9th. Meanwhile, Neptunus rocked former major leaguer Don August for 3 runs in the first, then Ken Brauckmiller took August deep in the 4th. Neptunus got two homers from Dirk van 't Klooster to beat Parma in the semifinals; Brauckmiller got the win that game.
