1997 European Cup
The 1997 European Cup was held from June 17 through June 21, 1997 in Brasschaat, Belgium.
Caffe Danesi Nettuno (Italy's Serie A1) won the event, going 5-0. It was their fourth European title.
Tropicana Neptunus (Netherlands' Hoofdklasse) went 4-1 to take second.
Mr. Cocker HCAW (Hoofdklasse) was 3-2 and 3rd.
T&A San Marino (Serie A2) had a 2-3 record (2-1 first round, 0-2 second round) and placed 4th.
The host Brasschaat Braves (Belgian's First Division) placed fifth at 3-2 (1-2 first round, 2-0 second round).
CB Viladecans (Spain's Division Honor) went 2-3 to finish sixth.
Jimmer's de Saint-Lô (France's Division Élite) was 1-4 and was 7th.
Gorn Kirovograd (Ukraine) went 0-5 to finish last. They were the first Ukrainian team to play in a European Cup.
