1998 European Cup

The 1998 European Cup was held from June 16 through June 20, 1998 in Viladecans, Spain.

CUS Cariparma (Italy's Serie A1) took the title at 4-1, going 2-1 in the first round and 2-0 in the second. It was Parma's twelth European championship.

The Minolta Pioniers of Hoofddorp, Netherlands were second at 4-1, not losing until the title game match with Parma.

Draci Brno (Czech Republic Extraliga) became the first Eastern European team to win a Medal at the European Cup, taking Bronze at 3-2.

The host CB Viladecans (Spain's Division Honor) was 4th at 2-3, going 2-1 in the first round and 0-2 in the second.

Caffe Danesi Nettuno (Serie A1) was 5th at 4-1, going 2-1 in the first round but being relegated to the second tier, where they were 2-0 in round two. Alberto D'Auria won MVP honors.

T&A San Marino (Serie A2) was 2-3 and placed 6th.

The Brasschaat Braves (Belgium's First Division) were 1-4 to finish 7th.

The Sölvesborg Firehawks (Sweden's Elitserien) were last at 0-5.
