1993 CEB Cup
The CEB Cup debuted in 1993. It was the third continental club tournament in Europe after the European Cup, which began in 1963 and the European Cupwinners Cup, which started in 1990.
The inaugural CEB Cup was held in Nettuno, Italy and featured seven teams. The final was an all-Italian affair as home team CFC Nettuno beat Fonte Gaudaniello Bologna. Nettuno shutout both of their opponents in the semi finals and in the final.
No teams from the Dutch Hoofdklasse took part in this tournament. In fact they only entered the CEB Cup once, in 1995.
