2001 CEB Cup
The 2001 CEB Cup was played in Metz, France. It was the start of a new era in CEB Cup history as for the first time there would be no teams from Italy taking part. Italian teams had dominated this competition since its debut in 1993, winning every time and there were even three all-Italian finals.
Six teams took part in the tourney which was won by Technika Brno, the first Czech team to win a European title, as they beat French outfit Savigny Lions in the final.
