1987 European Championship

The 1987 European Championship was held from July 17 through July 26 , 1987, in Barcelona and Saint Boi, Spain.
Netherlands finished 7-2 to take Gold. They were 3-2 against Italy to take the title, including a 7-6, 10-inning win. Rikkert Faneyte was named MVP while Marcel Kruyt led in average. It was their second European Championship title in a row.
Italy finished 5-3 to take Silver.
Spain had a solid showing as hosts, going 5-4 and winning Bronze. They had the Best pitcher, Pedro Valarezo.
Belgium went 3-5 to place last in the 1-4 seeds.
Sweden was 3-3, 1-2 in the preliminaries and 2-1 in the 5th-7th group.
France finished 2-4 and was 6th.
Germany only went 1-5 to finish last.
