Biographical Information[edit]
Wing-Hin Ng has been a regular on the Hong Kong women's national team.
She debuted in the 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, pitching in their opener and beating Azra Farooq and Pakistan. [1] In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she was 4-for-10 with a walk and two runs, but with 3 errors in 8 chances in left field. Only Tsz-Chin Lau had more hits for Hong Kong. [2] In four games in the 2019 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she was 6 for 10 with 3 walks and 9 steals in 9 tries. She tied Janice Chi-Kay Lau and Geeta Bhuyan for second in stolen bases, four behind Swetasini Sabar. [3] She eked out a .118/.211/.118 line in the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup but stole 6 bases in 6 tries and scored five runs. She tied Yaya Kojima and Vivien Cheung for 4th in swipes. [4]
During the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, she was at .333/.375/.463 with 5 runs and 5 RBI in 5 games, going 4-for-4 in steals and fielding .813 in center. She had 3 hits and 3 RBI in their opening win over South Korea. She tied for 10th in Group A in runs, tied for 8th in hits (5), tied Naomi Ryan, Raine Padgham and Daniela Leal for 4th in doubles (2), tied for 9th in RBI, tied for 7th in total bases (with Ryan, Morgan Doty, Zoe Hicks and Ticara Geldenhuis) and tied Kelsie Whitmore for the most stolen bases. She was easily Hong Kong's top offensive performer. Only Ju-a Park and Edith De Leija had more errors in the group. [5]
