Biographical Information[edit]

Morgan Doty has been on the Australian women's national team.

Doty debuted for Australia in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, pinch-hitting for Karina Connors and drawing a walk from Hong Kong's Kit-Yi Au her first time up. She was 4 for 10 on the event, doubling twice and having five runs and two walks. She had three putouts and one error in center field. [1] In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she alternated between RF and CF for Australia. Her double off Japan's Miyu Shimizu scored Taylah Welch with their only run in a loss to Japan. She also pitched once, closing out Kaila Borgomastro's win over the Netherlands. She retired Sofie van de Wiel, Isabelle Markies, Lotte Tanke and Inger Wieringa (K). Marije Filius reached on an error and she hit Winke Verdick but Esther Maliepaard hit into a force and Famke Gildemacher (who had both Dutch hits) flew out to end the game. She tied Chelsea Forkin for third on Australia's team with nine hits in the event, finishing at .450/.519/.650 with seven runs in seven games as a position player. [2]
