Team History[edit]
The Texas AirHogs were created by the American Association before the 2016 season when it decided to merge two teams, the Grand Prairie AirHogs and the Amarillo Thunderheads in order to have an even number of teams. The move was intended to be temporary. In 2018, the team made history by partnering with the Chinese national team to include 13 players from the Chinese squad.
