Tai-Chu Kuo was an infielder and outfielder in the Chinese Professional Baseball League for 12 years. He is the brother of Tai-Yong Kuo and the cousin of Chih-Sheng Lin

Kuo first gained attention in the 2004 World University Championship. He was picked in the first round of the 2004 CPBL Draft by the Uni-President Lions and hit .189/.271/.255 as a rookie in 2005. In 2006, he batted .285/.354/.412 and won the Best Ten as an outfielder. He ranked 9th in batting (.064 behind Kuan-Jen Chen) and 7th in doubles (2 behind Chin-Feng Chen). He had Tommy John surgery that fall, the first Taiwanese fielder to have that surgery. Due to his weird style while throwing ball back to infield, his teammate Sen Yang gave him the nickname "Mr. Eccentric Hand".

In 2007, Kuo hit .258/.313/.419. He homered in games 2 and 7 of the 2007 Taiwan Series to help the Lions beat the La New Bears in 7 games and take the title; his batting line was .409/.435/.727 in that series. He followed with a .237/.299/.397 batting line in 2008, but he only hit .167/.375/.167 in the 2008 Taiwan Series. The Lions won another title as they beat the Brother Elephants in 7 games.

Kuo had a .298/.355/.439 batting line with 9 homers in 2010, and he was also selected into the 2010 CPBL All-Star Game; he was 1-for-2. Kuo and Fu-Hao Liu became the only pair in CPBL history to both collect 5 hits in a game on March 5, 2011. The Taitung native hit .284/.358/.427 with 6 homers in 2012, but he was placed in the minors due to a conflict with manager Terushi Nakajima in 2013. When Lien-Hung Chen replaced Nakajima in the middle of the season, Kuo was promoted again and he hit .245/.362/.368 in 42 games. He hit .214/.267/.286 with a double in the 2013 Taiwan Series to help the Lions sweep the Sinon Bulls. Kuo slumped to .230/.316/.345 in 2014, and he only played 49 games with the big club in the next two seasons. He announced his retirement after the 2016 season.

Overall, Kuo hit .263/.335/.407 with 587 hits, 106 doubles and 66 homers in 12 seasons in the CPBL.
