Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, NC, is the home of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, the Houston Astros' Low-A Carolina League farm team. Opened in 2019, its most unusual - possibly unique - feature is having railroad tracks going by on two sides.
The Astros and the city agreed to a 30-year lease at the outset of the building process. Two months before Fayetteville's Populous-designed ballpark opened, the fiber-optics firm Segra bought naming rights. They also hold naming rights to the home ballpark of the Columbia Fireflies, which is called Segra Park.
The Woodpeckers broke the city professional baseball season attendance record on June 30th. Home opener seats sold out the day they went on sale, with an official paid attendance pf 6,202 reported.
