The Sarasota Reds were a Cincinnati Reds affiliate in the Florida State League. They played their home games at Ed Smith Stadium, the then home of Reds Spring Training. After the 2009 season the big league Reds announced they were moving their spring training site to Goodyear, AZ. Cincinnati sold their Florida State League team to the Pittsburgh Pirates who moved the team to their spring training site in Bradenton, FL and renamed the the Bradenton Marauders.
