Biographical Information[edit]

Raymond Figueredo has pitched in Cuba and for the Cuban national team.

He debuted for the Industriales in the 2017-2018 Cuban Serie Nacional; the teenager walked 3 of the 7 batters he faced and allowed two runs (one earned) in 1 1/3 IP. He had a save and a 8.82 ERA in 16 outings in 2018-2019. He next surfaced with them in 2021-2022, going 4-3 with two saves and a 4.94 ERA in the regular season and retired the only batter he faced in the postseason. [1] In the 2022 Cuban Elite League, he went 2-2 with a 3.33 ERA for the Portuarios and had a 5.06 ERA in the postseason. [2]

During the 2022-2023 Serie Nacional, he was 4-6 with a 5.42 ERA. He tied for 4th in starts (16), tied for 2nd in shutouts (2) and was 10th in K (56). [3] He then was with Cuba for the 2023 Pan American Games. He pitched one game, closing out a 4-2 loss to Brazil, Cuba's top hurler that game. He relieved Renner Rivero in the 5th with a 4-0 deficit, two outs and a man on second. He got Gabriel Do Carmo on a grounder to escape the inning. In the 6th, he allowed a single to Felipe Mizukosi but got Ariel Frigo to hit into a double play and Osvaldo Carvalho flew out. He went 1-2-3 in the 7th against Victor Mascai, Paulo Orlando and Salomon Koba, striking out the latter two. [4]

Figueredo had a 1-0, 3.80 record in the 2023 Cuban Elite League. [5] He was 2-1 with a 4.85 ERA in the 2023-2024 Serie Nacional. [6] He then pitched in Italy, going 7-2 with a 2.14 ERA for Parma in 2024 as they went on to win the 2024 Italian Series. [7]
