Biographical Information[edit]
Ariel Frigo has played for the Brazilian national team.
He led the 2011 South American Championship in average (.563) and slugging (.875) while Brazil won the Bronze. [1] He won Silver in the 2013 South American Championship. [2] In the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier, he was 1 for 4 in his lone game, homering off Carlos Téller of Nicaraguan national team; Tiago Magalhães was the only other Brazilian to go deep in the event. [3]
Frigo was the starting right fielder when Brazil won the 2022 South American Championship as the veteran got a continental title. He hit .300/.533/.300 with four walks and five runs in five games while handling five putouts in the field. He tied for third in runs (two behind Osvaldo Carvalho and Sebastián García), sixth in OBP (between García and Felipe Burin) and tied for fourth in walks (with Jin Ishihara and Jacinto Cipriota). [4]
