Biographical Information[edit]

Salomon Koba has played for the Brazilian national team.

Koba hit .464/.484/.692 with 11 RBI in 8 games in the 2012 U-15 Baseball World Cup, playing the corner infield spots. He tied Leonardo Crawford and Alexander Guerra for 7th in RBI and led in doubles (6). [1] In the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup, he hit .464/.559/.714 with 7 doubles in 8 games and handled 51 chances error-free. He again led a tourney in doubles (2 ahead of Naruki Sugisaki and Jun-young Park), was third in average (behind Shoki Katsumata and Josh Naylor), was 4th in OBP (between Lukas Trunkat and Naylor) and ranked 4rd in slugging (between Luis Robert and Cheng-Fei Lin). Naylor beat him out as the All-Tournament first baseman. [2]

He was 2 for 8 with a walk for Brazil in the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament. [3] He was on Brazil's roster for the 2020 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers before that was one of the first baseball events canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [4] By this time, he was on the roster of the Kochi Fighting Dogs of the Shikoku Island League. [5] He was also with Brazil for the 2022 South American Championship, where he backed up Iago Januário at 1B. [6]
