Biographical Information

Felipe Mizukosi debuted for the Brazilian national team when they took Silver in the 2015 South American Championship. When they won the 2016 South American Championship, he was excellent as a backup, going 4 for 7 with two walks, a hit-by-pitch, steal, double, six runs and three RBI, fielding .875. Only Artur Oliveira had a better average for Brazil and he tied Rodrigo Kanashiro for third on the team in runs despite his limited role. He also pitched a 1-2-3 inning, closing out Leandro Hara's win over Bolivia by retiring Ronald Quiroga, Rafael Revollo (K) and Limbert Lafuente. In the 2022 South American Championship, he backed up Osvaldo Carvalho at SS and Felipe Burin at 2B, going 3-for-9 with a walk, steal, three runs and three RBI, fielding .750; Brazil won again (they had not won in the two intervening South American Championships without Mizukosi).
