Biographical Information[edit]
Felipe Mizukosi debuted for the Brazilian national team when they took Silver in the 2015 South American Championship. [1] When they won the 2016 South American Championship, he was excellent as a backup, going 4 for 7 with two walks, a hit-by-pitch, steal, double, six runs and three RBI, fielding .875. Only Artur Oliveira had a better average for Brazil and he tied Rodrigo Kanashiro for third on the team in runs despite his limited role. He also pitched a 1-2-3 inning, closing out Leandro Hara's win over Bolivia by retiring Ronald Quiroga, Rafael Revollo (K) and Limbert Lafuente. [2] In the 2022 South American Championship, he backed up Osvaldo Carvalho at SS and Felipe Burin at 2B, going 3-for-9 with a walk, steal, three runs and three RBI, fielding .750; Brazil won again (they had not won in the two intervening South American Championships without Mizukosi).
