Biographical Information

Arthur Oliveira has played for the Brazilian national team.

He was 3 for 9 with a triple, 3 runs and 4 RBI in the 2012 U-15 Baseball World Cup, backing up Gustavo Higawa at catcher. In the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup, he hit .222/.344/.222 with four walks and two runs in eight games, handling 62 chances error-free and throwing out 33.3% on the bases. Only Andy Yerzy allowed more steals than his 12 but no one threw out more runners than he did (6).

In the 2016 South American Championship, he was excellent as a backup to veteran Luis de Camargo behind the dish, going 3 for 5 with a walk and three runs, singling off Bogdan Leyton his first at-bat. He also had 12 chances with no errors and Brazil won the title. In the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier, he started for Brazil but was just 1 for 8.
