Biographical Information[edit]

Arthur Oliveira has played for the Brazilian national team.

He was 3 for 9 with a triple, 3 runs and 4 RBI in the 2012 U-15 Baseball World Cup, backing up Gustavo Higawa at catcher. [1] In the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup, he hit .222/.344/.222 with four walks and two runs in eight games, handling 62 chances error-free and throwing out 33.3% on the bases. Only Andy Yerzy allowed more steals than his 12 but no one threw out more runners than he did (6). [2]

In the 2016 South American Championship, he was excellent as a backup to veteran Luis de Camargo behind the dish, going 3 for 5 with a walk and three runs, singling off Bogdan Leyton his first at-bat. He also had 12 chances with no errors and Brazil won the title. [3] In the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier, he started for Brazil but was just 1 for 8. [4]
