Biographical Information

Paul Romanoli pitched in the minor leagues and the TML.

Romanoli was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 38th round of the 1991 Amateur Draft, and he recorded a 0.77 ERA in 8 games for the Johnson City Cardinals while having a 1.78 ERA in 16 games for the Springfield Cardinals in his first year. He then pitched 62 games with 2 saves in Springfield in 1992, and he had a solid 1.48 ERA with a 5-2 record. His ERA was 4.29 in 17 games for the St. Petersburg Cardinals in 1993, then he went to the Cleveland Indians in the middle of the season; Romanoli had a 4.50 ERA in 30 games for the Canton-Akron Indians after changing team.

In 1994, Romanoli was 3-5 with a 4.28 ERA for the Duluth-Superior Dukes, and the Colorado Rockies signed him. He went 3-1 with a 4.50 ERA for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 1995, then he notched 19 saves with a solid 1.85 ERA in 34 games for the St. Paul Saints in 1996. The Taichung Agan of Taiwan then signed him, and Romanoli went 10-10 with a 3.38 ERA in 35 games. He collected 11 saves with a 1.77 ERA in 31 games for the Newburgh Black Diamonds, and he also played 5 games with a 3.58 ERA for the Atlantic City Surf in 1998. Romanoli then pitched for the Semenzato Rimini in 1999. He helped the Italian national team win Silver in the 1999 European Championship, throwing five shutout innings (2 H, 9 K) and getting the win over Sweden's Stefan Appelbo.
