Biographical Information[edit]
Patrice Baudin was on the French national team.
He was the starting second baseman for France's first team in an Intercontinental Cup, hitting .129/.152/.129 in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup and fielding .911 at 2B and .714 in one game at SS. His six errors tied Bayardo Davila for the event lead. He tied for second on France with two runs (one behind Emmanuel Surun) and his two RBI trailed only David Meurant and Carlos Jiminian on the team. [1] In the 1993 European Championship, he was 0-1 with a 7.56 ERA, losing to Magnus Höglund of Sweden in the Bronze Medal round. His 7 K tied for third on France, behind Vincent Lhoste and Guillaume Coste. His .185 average allowed tied Andrei Tselykovsky for 6th-lowest in the tourney and his 7.56 K/9 were 9th, between Roderick Hopkins and José Pulido. His 10 walks tied Calle Skogqvist and Mikael Aho for 7th. [2]
Baudin was one of France's top hurlers in the 1993 Intercontinental Cup as his 11.12 ERA trailed only Guillaume Coste and his four appearances tied Étienne Coste and Samuel Meurant for the team lead. He and Farouk Messagier were their only pitchers not to take a loss as the squad finished 0-9. [3] He was the French Baseball and Softball Federation's North America delegate during the 2010s. [4]
