Biographical Information[edit]
Farouk Messagier allowed four runs in 1 2/3 IP for the French national team in the 1993 Intercontinental Cup; he edged Vincent Lhoste for their highest ERA by .22. [1] In the 1993 European Championship, he allowed three hits, three walks and five runs (all earned) while retiring no one in his lone outing, versus Italy. He had the event's worst ERA. [2] He spent most of his career as a first baseman with the Paris Université Club. [3]
