Oswaldo Martinez has pitched as high as AAA.

Martinez signed with the Chicago Cubs in May 2006; the scout was Raúl Cano. He debuted in 2006 with the Tijuana Potros (3 R in 2 IP) and DSL Cubs (2-4, 4.88). In 2007, he had a 2-0, 3.60 record for the AZL Cubs, with 22 strikeouts to 2 walks in 20 innings. Back with the same club in 2008, he was 2-2 with a 7.85 ERA. He split 2009 between the Daytona Cubs (1 R, 5 H in 15 1/3 IP) and Broncos de Reynosa (6-6, Sv, 4.97). On August 15, he was part of a combined no-hitter against the Dunedin Blue Jays, joining with Craig Muschkom, Chris Siegfried and David Cales. 13 days later, he tossed the first 4 2/3 IP of a seven-inning no-hitter versus the Clearwater Threshers, with Mike Perconte finishing the job. In 2010, he was with Daytona (3-7, 5 Sv, 4.94, 30 BB in 58 1/3 IP) and the Tennessee Smokies (2-1, 5.40). In 2011, he pitched again for Daytona (1-0, 3 R in 18 IP, 20 K) and Tennessee (4-0, Sv, 2.34). He was 3-0 with a 2.06 ERA as a top middle reliever for the Yaquis de Obregon in 2011-2012 as they won the Mexican Pacific League title. He was atrocious in his lone outing in the 2012 Caribbean Series (2 H, 2 BB, 4 R in 2/3 IP), taking the loss against the Tigres de Aragua.
