Biographical Information[edit]
Noriyuki Hashimoto played for Osaka Gas in the Industrial League after college. [1] He represented Japan in the 2023 Asian Championship. Hashimoto debuted against Pakistan, drawing a walk against Amaan Khan in the 5th inning. He then went 1-for-3 with 3 runs scored and a walk against Thailand. He was the backup to left fielder Ryuga Ihara against the Philippines, then he pinch-hit for Kanta Aiba and Cheng-Hao Wang of Taiwan struck him out. He drew a walk against Hyeon-su Jeong of South Korea. In the Gold Medal Game, he was 1-for-3 with a single against Jo-Hsi Hsu to help Japan beat Taiwan and win the Gold. He was error-free in 5 chances in the outfield in the last game, and he didn't have any chances in the other games. [2]
