Biographical Information[edit]
Ryuga Ihara played for Miki House in the Industrial League after college. [1] He represented Japan in the 2022 Asian Games. He debuted against the Philippines, replaced Tatsuhiko Satoh in the 7th inning but went 0-for-2. He then went 1-for-2 with a RBI walk against Thor Hue of Laos. He didn't have any at-bats the next three games, only being used as a defensive sub for Motoki Mukoyama in the 9th inning against China. In the Bronze Medal Game, he pinch-hit for Kazuya Shimokawa in the 8th inning and recorded a game-tying RBI single against Xiang Wang to help Japan beat China and win the Bronze. He handled 3 chances error-free combined in left field for the event. [2]
