Biographical Information[edit]
Tatsuhiko Satoh played for Honda in the industrial leagues after college. He made the Japanese national team for the 2019 Asian Championship. He hit .526/.571/1.052 with 9 RBI and 5 runs in five games for Japan. He also crushed the first homer of Japan in this tournament, a solo shot off Chun-Pui Mok of Hong Kong. In the Gold Medal Game, he hit 4th and played right field, but went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts in a 5-4 loss to Taiwan. He was named the All-Star designated hitter, and led the tournament in slugging, triples (3) and RBI. He tied for 7th in runs, was 6th in average and tied Wei-Chih Chen and Jennald Pareja for the most hits (10).
