Biographical Information[edit]
Kanta Aiba played for Yamaha in the Industrial League after High School. [1] He represented Japan in the 2023 Asian Championship. Aiba debuted against Pakistan, going 1-for-1 with a double against Amaan Khan in the 6th inning. He then went 0-for-2 with 2 runs against Thailand. He was a defensive replacement for Yukiya Yano against the Philippines but he didn't have a chance to hit, then he pinch-hit for Tatsuya Shirono and Shao-En Lin of Taiwan struck him out. In the Gold Medal Game, he was 0-for-1 and Japan beat Taiwan to win the Gold. He did not handle a chance in the entire event in the outfield, at third base or shortstop. [2]
