Biographical Information[edit]
Amaan Khan has played for the Pakistani national team.
At age 16, the high schooler joined Pakistan for the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He did not get relegated to the back of the bullpen, either. In his outing, he relieved former minor leaguer Omar Arif with a 3-2 deficit against Argentina in the 4th, two outs and the bases loaded. He escaped that jam by striking out former minor leaguer Jacinto Cipriota. In the fifth, he retired Julian Pedrouzo, walked Matías Robles and got Lucas Nakandakare to hit into a double play. Things fell apart in the sixth. Andrés Kim singled, Sebastián García reached on an error, Agustín Tissera singled (and an error on the play helped two runs score), Exequiel Talevi tripled in another and Eduardo Zurbriggen singled to make it 7-2. After Cipriota singled, Muhammad Aslam replaced Khan. He had Pakistan's second-worst ERA on the event, behind Canadian Adam Khan, his 6th undoing his fine work before that. [1]
