Biographical Information[edit]
Adam Khan has pitched for the Pakistani national team.
Khan was on Pakistan's announced roster for the 2020 World Baseball Classic Qualifier before that was one of the first baseball events canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1] He was 3-1 with a 5.04 ERA as a freshman at the University of British Columbia. He then was one of four Canadians of Pakistani descent to be with Pakistan in the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers (alongside Osman Buttar, Iyad Ansari and Amar Mahmood). He pitched one game, relieving Omar Arif in the fourth with a 3-2 deficit, the bases loaded and two outs against Argentina. He escaped that jam by striking out former minor leaguer Jacinto Cipriota. In the fifth, he retired Julian Pedrouzo, walked Matías Robles and got Lucas Nakandakare on a double play grounder. Things fell apart in the 6th as all six batters reached - Andres Kim singled, Sebastián García reached on an error, Agustín Tissera singled, Exequiel Talevi tripled, Eduardo Zurbriggen singled and Cipriota singled to make it 7-2 before Muhammad Aslam relieved and got out of further trouble. Khan finished with Pakistan's highest ERA in the event, 20.25, 2.25 worse than Amaan Khan, who was next on the staff. [2]
