Biographical Information[edit]

Matías Robles has played in Italy and Germany and for the Argentinian national team. His brother Federico Robles has also been on Argentina's national team. [1]

Robles was 3 for 20 with 2 walks, 2 runs and 3 RBI in the 2016 U-23 Baseball World Cup. [2] He played for Crocetta Parma in the 2021 Serie A1 in Italy, batting .375/.517/.545 with 34 runs and 30 walks. He fielded .962, mostly in center field. He tied for 7th in the league in walks and had the third-best OBP for players with 100+ AB. [3] Going to Germany the next year, he hit .318/.373/.430 with 24 runs in 28 games for the Mannheim Tornados. [4]

He debuted for the senior national team in the 2022 South American Championship and was the main right fielder for them. He drew a walk from Juan Casas his first time up; his first hit was off Luis Rico. He was 0 for 3 against former major leaguer André Rienzo in the title game, which Argentina lost to Brazil; his teammates fared little better, collecting only two hits. He was 2 for 15 with two walks, two runs and two RBI in the event. He had five putouts, two assists and no errors. [5]
