The Red Devils of Mexico City are one of the oldest and strongest teams in the history of the Mexican League. Shortly after the league joined Organized Baseball, the Red Devils won their first title in 1956; 15 more have followed with at least one every 8 seasons (in a league that has often featured 16-20 teams). The Red Devils briefly had a working agreement with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1990s, which sent Francisco Cordova, Ricardo Rincon and Esteban Loaiza to Pittsburgh.
