Biographical Information[edit]
Abelardo Vega played in the minors from 1965-1984, appearing exclusively in Mexican leagues. A third baseman, he hit .286 in Mexican League play, topping .300 several times. He hit 69 career triples in the LMB. He coached for the Mexican national team in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup.
