[3] He made his Serie A1 debut in 2017 with Padule, but was rocked (0-3, 15.86 ERA, 3.23 WHIP). He did not appear in the league in 2018 then returned in 2019 and did much better (0-1, 3 Sv, 3.68 ERA, .96 WHIP, 18 K in 14 2/3 IP) for the Rangers Redipuglia. He tied Fernando Baez for 3rd in saves.

Moving to Fortitudo Bologna for 2020, he had a 4-0, 3.45 record in the regular season. He tied Alex Bassani, Nico Garbella and Francesco Nardi for 4th in wins. In the 2020 Italian Series, he had a 5.63 ERA but won Game 5 over ASD San Marino as Bologna won in seven games. [4] He allowed three runs in four innings in the 2021 European Champions Cup but beat Curaçao Neptunus. [5] In the 2021 Serie A1, he was 3-0 with a 4.15 ERA and 30 K in 21 2/3 IP. [6]

The right-hander debuted for the senior Italian national team in the 2021 European Championship. He pitched one game for the Bronze Medalists, relieving Garbella in the 3rd with a 7-4 deficit against Israel, one on and two out. He struck out Assaf Lowengart. In the 4th, he retired Robb Paller, allowed an Itai Goldner single then got Joey Wagman and Jordan Petrushka on flies. In the 5th, he ran into some trouble as Tal Erel singled, Ty Kelly walked, Mitch Glasser hit into a force and Ben Wanger walked. Zotti's wild pitch scored Erel but he recovered to retire Lowengart and Paller. Angelo Palumbo took over in the 6th. He was Italy's most effective hurler on the day. [7]
