Biographical Information

Manny Nanita played in the minors then became a scout. He hit .258/.313/.290 for the 1997 GCL Twins, as a third-string catcher. Moving to the outfield in 1998, he batted .232/.329/.328 for the same club. He ended his playing career with the 1999 Elizabethton Twins, posting a .230/.283/.333 line with 40 whiffs in 135 at-bats.

As of 2011, he was a Boston Red Sox scout covering the Dominican Republic. He signed Raul Alcantara, Roldani Baldwin, Victor Diaz, Manuel Margot, Frankie Montas, Nefi Ogando, Randy Pérez, Denyi Reyes and Aneury Tavárez.
