Landmark Conference
The Landmark Conference was formed in 2005, basically due to Juniata College, Moravian College, and Susquehanna University each accepted invitations to leave the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in football only. However, the MASCAC bylaws did not permit these schools to participate in football in another conference while competing in the MASCAC in other sports. The three schools were then left without a conference and then recruited five other schools to form the Landmark Conference. The conference began play with the 2007-2008 school year.
