American Southwest Conference
The American Southwest Conference (ASC) is a Division-III conference whose member schools are located in Texas and Arkansas.
Announcement of the formation of a new conference in the south and southwestern United States was made in May 1996. The new league included former members of the Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association (TIAA) and other institutions outside the Texas border. Founding members of the ASC are Austin College, Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne, McMurry, Mississippi College, Sul Ross State, University of Dallas and University of the Ozarks.
