Lake Michigan Conference
The Lake Michigan Conference was a NCAA Division III (and previously NAIA) athletic conference. All of the final schools in 2006 except one were in Wisconsin. Dominican University is in Illinois. After the 2005-2006 school year, the conference merged with the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference to form the Northern Athletics Conference. Member schools were competing in NAIA postseason as late as 1995. The conference earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament beginning in 2000.
