Jocko Collins scouted for the Philadelphia Phillies (-1966), Houston Astros (1967), San Francisco Giants (1968), Baltimore Orioles (1969-1974), New York Mets (1975-1980) and Milwaukee Brewers (1981) from 1940 to 1989.
Collins scouted such players as Jack Crimian, Del Ennis, Don Hasenmayer, Lefty Hoerst, Andy Lapihuska, Granny Hamner, Barney Schultz, Tom Lasorda, Jack Meyer, Tom Qualters, John Easton, Dallas Green, Al Kenders, Ed Keegan, Chris Short, Lee Elia, Al Neiger, Dick Allen, Dave May, John Briggs, Mike Jackson, Joe Lis, Bob Bailor, Bob Galasso and Larry Milbourne.
