Biographical Information[edit]

Mike Jackson had four seasons in the big leagues, pitching for four different teams.

As a rookie with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1970, he was a teammate of Jim Bunning. With the St. Louis Cardinals in 1971, he played with Joe Torre, Lou Brock and Bob Gibson. With the Kansas City Royals in 1972 and 1973, he was traded a couple of months before George Brett made his major league debut. He finished up with the Cleveland Indians in 1973 as a teammate of Gaylord Perry.

Jackson missed the 1966 and 1967 seasons due to military service.

He is not to be confused with another Mike Jackson, also known as Michael Jackson, who pitched over 1,000 games in the majors.
