Biographical Information[edit]

Jiaji Chen has played for the Chinese national team.

Chen coached for China in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, and he represented China in the 2022 Asian Games as a player. He debuted against Laos as a pinch-runner for Jin Yang, and he scored by Pei Liang's double. Chen then hit a RBI single against Natpakone Phialouanglath in the 5th inning. He was then named their starting third baseman versus Japan, but he was struck out by Shunya Morita twice then Jinjun Luo replaced him. Chen pinch-hit Yang in the 9th inning against Chinese Taipei, and he hit a single against Ruei-Yang Gu Lin. He then started as DH versus South Korea, and he was 1-for-4 with a single against Tae-in Won in the 2nd inning. In the Bronze Medal Game, Chen was starting DH but he was struck out in all of his at-bats again by Makoto Hori. China lost the Bronze to Japan, and he finished the Games 3-for-10. [1]
