Jeff Bruksch is a former minor league baseball pitcher who played from 2002 to 2006 in the Oakland Athletics and Cincinnati Reds farm systems. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2001 amateur draft by the Athletics.
In 2000 with Stanford University, he went 4-4 with a 3.16 ERA in 29 relief appearances. He also had 69 strikeouts in 57 innings of work. He went 9-3 with a 3.19 ERA in 23 games (17 starts) with Stanford in 2001.
He began his professional career in 2002 with the Visalia Oaks. He went 8-11 with a 4.65 ERA in 27 starts. In 149 innings of work, he had 163 strikeouts. In 2003, he began the season with the Modesto A's, but on July 30th, he was traded with Aaron Harang and Joe Valentine for Jose Guillen. He then pitched for the Potomac Cannons. Combined, he went 11-11 with a 5.01 ERA in 29 starts.
In 2004, Bruksch went 6-7 with a 3.72 ERA in 32 games (19 starts) for Potomac. He split the 2005 season between the Chattanooga Lookouts and Louisville Bats, going a combined 4-9 with a 4.66 ERA in 29 games (15 starts). He spent 2006 with the Sarasota Reds and the Lookouts, going a combined 1-1 with a 3.83 ERA in 27 relief appearances.
Overall, he went 30-39 with a 4.47 ERA in 144 minor league appearances (90 starts).
