Biographical Information[edit]

Hrvoje Tadić has played for the Croatian national team, following his brother Marin Tadić. [1]

In the 2012 European Junior Championship Qualifier, he hit .273/.500/.455 with 5 steals in 5 tries and 4 runs in 4 games, while allowing 5 runs in 3 innings pitched. He tied for 3rd in steals, behind only Pontus Byström and Callum Murphy. [2] In the 2016 CEB Cup, he hit .333/.571/.333 with 5 walks in 5 games for Nada SM Split. He fielded only .737, making five errors. He was 8th in the event in OBP and tied for 3rd in walks, but led in errors. [3] He then made Croatia's team for the 2016 European Championship. The 20-year-old backed up Ross Vukovich at third base, getting one start. He handled three chances error-free and was retired twice by Italy's Ludovico Coveri. His third time up, he fanned against Gianfranco Rizzo but reached when Mattia Reginato made an error on the play. [4]

Tadić batted .357/.500/.429 in the 2017 CEB Cup and scored four times in four games but again struggled with the glove (.769 FLD%, 3 E). He tied for third with two steals and tied Romain Martinez-Scott for 3rd in errors. [5] In the 2019 European Championship, he repeated his 2016 performance of good defense (2 PO, 2 A, 0 E) but going hitless (0 for 4, BB). He split second base with Vukovich and Antonio Horvatić. He drew his walk from Alex Seidl of Austria. [6]
