Callum Murphy has played in the Bundesliga and for the Great Britain national team.

Murphy hit .385/.579/.615 with 7 RBI and 6 steals in 4 games for Britain in the 2012 U18 European Championship Qualifiers; only Jordan Edmonds had a better OPS for Britain. He tied for 7th in the event in RBI, was 9th in slugging and OBP, tied for 10th in runs (6) and was second in steals (one behind Pontus Byström). [1] While a Canadian native, he carried a British passport as well. [2] He was Rookie of the Year for Wilfrid Laurier University in 2013-2014. [3] He had a .204 average and .376 OBP after three seasons there. [4] He played for the Hamilton Cardinals in the 2016 Intercounty Baseball League. [5]

He played third and short for Britain in the 2016 European Championship, hitting .304/.360/.348 and fielding .889. He tied for 5th in the Euros with three errors. A highlight was going 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBI in a rout of Greece. His first at-bat had been a fly-out against Diegomar Markwell and his first hit was off Johannes Krumm of Germany. Callum signed with the Hamburg Stealers for 2018. He hit .136/.269/.182 and fielded .953 as their starting shortstop. He tied Eric Brenk for the second-best fielding percentage by a shortstop in the Bundesliga-1 north, just .002 behind leader Daniel Sánchez. [9]
