Biographical Information[edit]

Hei-Ting Lau has played for the Hong Kong women's national team.

She debuted in the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup. [1] In the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup, she was a 3B/SS/P, going 3-for-6 with two walks but 0-1 with a 15.27 ERA on the hill. In relief, she plunked Daniela Daniel to force in the losing run in a 5-4 game against Venezuela, while she allowed 8 runs and retired none in a loss to Australia and Taylah Welch. She was 4th in the Cup in runs allowed (13), was 7th in earned runs allowed (8) and tied Ciska Welboren and Chiao-Yun Huang for 3rd in walks (9). [2]

Playing catcher solely in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, she hit .200/.294/.200, fielded .944 and allowed 12 steals in 17 tries. [3] She next surfaced in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, now back as a pitcher. She was 0-1 with a 28.64 ERA, allowing 12 hits and 8 walks in 3 2/3 IP, losing to Mexico's Dafne Mejia. She was second in the A group in hits allowed (12, one behind Min-sung Park), second in runs allowed (18, 5 behind Wai-Yin Michelle Lam), allowed the most earned runs (15, 2 more than Lam) and tied Adriana Palma for 6th in walks.
