Wai-Yin Michelle Lam pitched for the Hong Kong women's national team in the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup. In the opening round, she saved Tak-Wing Hung's win over Sri Lanka and had a 5.83 ERA. In that round, she was 5th in ERA (between Reshma Shivaji Punekar and Nur Afrina Azman Ali), tied Punekar for third in opponent average (.231), tied Azman for 6th in IP (6), had the lone save and tied for the most games pitched (appearing in all 3 - tied with Sadia Bibi, Shee-In Choi and Hung). In the primary rounds, she was rocked by runner-up Taiwan, allowing 6 walks and 8 runs while retiring one batter in a loss to Chen-Yun Chang. She allowed two runs in one inning of relief against champion Japan. Only Mengqi Cao and Kayla Putri Aulia Zahra had worse ERAs in that round. [1]
