Biographical Information[edit]

Nur Afrina Azman Ali has been on the Malaysian women's national team.

She was the first pitcher for Malaysia in a major event, the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup. She took the hill against Thailand and went the distance (6 IP), giving up 10 hits, 4 walks and 11 runs (8 earned) while striking out six (including Tipdee Thanaporn twice). She took the loss to Sirapat Kasornsuwan. Their other game, she was a late replacement for Nurul Nasyitah Mohd Zaki at third base and did not bat. For the first round, she was 6th among the 7 qualifiers in ERA (ahead of Harshika Priyadarshani Kahennalage), 5th in opponent average, tied Wai-Yin Michelle Lam for 6th in IP, tied Kahennalage for third in K (behind Reshma Shivaji Punekar and Sadia Bibi), trailed only Bibi in complete games, tied Punekar for second in hit batsmen (3) and led in balks (3). She easily led Malaysia's staff in pretty much everything as no one else worked more than 1 2/3 IP (Nurul Ain Farahah Yusof and Afrina Afiqah tied there). [1]
