Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Frank Cacciatore played in the minor leagues before spending several more seasons as a minor league coach.

Frank won Gold with Team USA in the 1974 Amateur World Series. He hit .223/~.369/.297 in 72 games for the 1975 Lakeland Tigers and .200/~.310/.240 in 9 games for the 1976 Montgomery Rebels.

Cacciatore was an assistant coach at Florida Southern College from 1978-1982 and became head coach at Palm Beach Junior College from 1983-1986.

Cacciatore has been a minor league coach for the Houston Astros (1988-92), San Francisco Giants (1993-98), Florida Marlins (1999-01), Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals (2002-05) and New York Mets (2006-07). Included in his stops were the Tucson Toros in 1989, Osceola Astros in 1992, Clinton Giants in 1993, Shreveport Captains in 1994-1995 and 1998, Brevard County Manatees in 2000-2001, and Harrisburg Senators in 2002 and 2005. Cacciatore was the Expos' minor league hitting coordinator in 2003-2004. He was a coach for the Reading Phillies in 2008-2012, the Reading Fightin Phils in 2013, Clearwater Threshers in 2014, and Reading again in 2015-2016.

Cacciatore is a member of the Florida Southern College Hall of Fame.
