Biographical Information

A native of St. Martin, Felix Brown hit .307 as a college freshman at Ohio Dominican. He improved to .373 with a .479 OBP as a sophomore infielder. He hit .403 and slugged .483 as a junior. He then joined the French national team for the 2010 European Championship. Starting at second base, he hit .357/.538/.357 with 11 walks, 4 runs and 2 RBI in 8 games, stealing 2 bases in 3 tries and fielding .932. He led the team in walks handily, including four in a game against Ukraine and two for the entire French offense in a no-hitter loss to the Dutch national team (drawing a pass each from Rob Cordemans and Dave Draijer). He had four hits in a loss to Greece.

Brown hit .326/.438/.402 as a senior at Ohio Dominican then spent 2012 with the Gunma Diamond Pegasus of Japan's Baseball Challenge League; he was not the lone French national team member present in the league as Frédéric Hanvi also played there. In 2014, he played for the Trois-Rivières Aigles, hitting .238/.356/.341 with 9 steals in 13 tries, fielding .904 at SS (his main spot with them). In the 2014 European Championship, he was very good for France, hitting .310/.400/.483 with 8 runs and 6 RBI in 8 games, though he fielded .913. He led the team in runs, tied for second in RBI and was second to Rene Leveret in OPS. He led all players in the tournament with 26 assists but tied for 4th with four errors. He had his best game in a 5-4 win over Belgium, driving in four runs, including the game-winning two-run homer off Kenny Vandenbranden in the bottom of the 9th.

Brown signed with the Templiers de Sénart in France for 2015. He hit .339/.430/.461 with 18 steals in 22 tries and 27 runs in 30 games, while fielding .932. He was 7th in the French Division I in OBP, 8th in runs, tied Bastien Dagneau for 6th in RBI (22), was 9th in total bases, tied Grégory Cros and David Gauthier for 3rd in walks (19) and was second in steals (four behind Maxime Lefevre). He led all players in assists (109, 15 ahead of Larry Infante), tied Luc Piquet for third in double plays (18) and tied for 4th in errors (11). In the 2015 European Cup, hit .222/.333/.278 and fielded .926, while going 3-for-4 in steals. He scored the Templiers' only two runs in a 2-0 win over Draci Brno. He tied for second in the event in steals, one behind Stefano Desimoni and led with 7 double plays turned.

In the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in March 2016, he was the starting shortstop for France. He went 4 for 14 with a steal and two runs. He tied Douglas Rodriguez for second on the team in hits, one behind Hanvi. The negative was that he made three errors in the three games. He was France's first baserunner of the tournament, reaching on an Edgar Muñoz‏‎ error in the opener against Panama. He scored the first run in their 5-3 upset win over Spain, singling off Richard Salazar and coming home on a hit by Andy Paz. In the semifinals, he scored their first run in a 7-4 loss to Panama, getting a hit off Dario Agrazal in the first and coming home on a double by Hanvi.
