Daniel Linder has played in the Elitserien and for the Swedish national team.

He debuted in the Elitserien in 2012, with Akademin; he had a 9.64 ERA and hit .208/.354/.208. [1] In '13, he was 0-1 with a 4.22 ERA between Akademin and the Stockholm Monarchs. He went 8 for 44 at the plate. [2] In '14, he went 8 for 48 between the same two teams and was 4-3 despite a 7.83 ERA. [3]

Linder was 1-2 with a 6.98 ERA for the '15 Leksand Lumberjacks. [4] The next year, he improved to 2-0, 2.29 and batted .223/.355/.330. He fielded .911 at 2B for the league champs. [5] He was 2-1 with a 3.20 ERA for the 2017 Lumberjacks, hit .216/.355/.270 and fielded .883 at 2B, the lowest among qualifiers. [6]

In 2018, he posted a 2-4, 4.81 record for Leksand as they won the pennant. He did not take the field as often and hit .307/.357/.410. [7] During the 2019 season, he was 4-3 with a 4.43 ERA and produced at a .185/.387/.228 clip with more walks (22) than hits (13). His .196 opponent average was 4th-lowest in the league behind Moisses Pargas, Heorhii Hvrytishvili and Eddie Aucoin. [8]

Daniel allowed 9 runs in 5 innings in the 2019 Federations Cup and was 2 for 19 with a walk at the plate. [9] He made Sweden's team for the 2019 European Championship and pitched three games for them. In the opener against Germany, he relieved Jesper Svedhem in the 5th with a 5-1 deficit. He turned in a fine outing, going 1-2-3 in the 5th against Eric Brenk (K), Marco Cardoso and Alex Schmidt. In the 6th, he walked Kevin Kotowski but retired Sascha Lutz and got Simon Gühring to hit into a twin killing. In the 7th, he fanned former major leaguer Donald Lutz, got Max Boldt on a grounder, hit Pascal Amon then retired Brenk. Ben Johnson took over as Linder had faced one more than the minimum. In his second outing, he was less trouble for the Czech national team. He replaced Leo Bristow with a 6-1 deficit in the 5th. He allowed hits to Petr Čech and Martin Mužík but Daniel Vavruša lined into a double play and Petr Zýma grounded out. In the 6th, he walked Adam Hajtmar, who stole and scored on a hit by Jakub Hajtmar. After Martin Schneider fanned, Pontus Byström relieved and the inherited runner would score. Finally, he relieved Jakob Claesson in the 5th, down 8-2 against Great Britain. He gave up a double to Nateshon Thomas and a single to Maikel Azcuy but escaped further damage that inning, thanks in part to another double play (hit into by Brett Rosen). In the 6th, he pitched a scoreless inning despite hits by Jordan Serena and Richard Brereton when Thomas hit into a double play. In the 7th, Azcuy singled and Rosen doubled him home, Jakob Syrén relieving him but allowing the inherited run home. Linder finished with a 6.14 ERA, much better than the team's 11.52 mark. [10]
