Brett Rosen has caught in the Bundesliga.
Rosen batted .400/.458/.500 with 5 runs and 6 RBI in the 2013 B-Level European Championship to help the Great Britain national team win a spot in the 2014 European Championship. He hit .312 as a senior at Muhlenberg College in 2015. He then signed with the Hamburg Stealers in Germany, replacing Connar O'Gorman as their backstop. He batted .304/.421/.391 and allowed 22 steals in 24 tries. He hit .226/.337/.274 for Hamburg in 2016, allowing 14 steals in 15 tries while splitting catching duties with Przemyslaw Paluch. He also split 1B. His 247 putouts led the northern Bundesliga-1 despite the lowest fielding percentage for qualifiers at both C (.986) and 1B (.983).
Brett played for Great Britain in the 2016 European Championship, producing at a .348/.448/.478 with four runs and four RBI in 7 games, fielding .967 as their main catcher. He allowed 7 steals in 8 tries. He was second among the British regulars in average (tied with Nateshon Thomas, .016 behind Richard Klijn, all three of them Bundesliga-experienced players) and second in OBP (.076 behind AAA player Chris Berset, usually a catcher but serving mostly at DH). Rosen was with Britain for the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers but was their lone position player who did not get into a game as Berset and Mitch Evans handled the catching.
